Meet the Storyteller Behind the Site

Hey there! My name is Tom. I am an author, writer, editor, proofreader, and storyteller who enjoys a good tale and a heartfelt discussion about many things. Having started my foray into fiction writing in the third grade, I’ve been writing stories of fantasy, action, science fiction, and various other genres for as long as I can recall. My foray into online writing started in 2014 with academic writing and quickly expanded to other subjects as my skills grew.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve had the chance to travel to many unique and beautiful locations and found inspiration in them all. Life with my family in the PNW has always been interesting, and my love of the written word has captured a great deal of it, as my 30+ novels on Amazon.com show now and then. As the father of three daughters, I’m never without inspiration for a good story, and I have included many of those I’ve met throughout my life in my stories.

It’s always fun to engage with and discover the opinions of other fans and see how their beliefs differ or align with mine, which is one of the many reasons why Kizzal.com exists. So come on and say what’s on your mind; I’m ready to listen and debate.

In that same vein, exploring other subjects, such as world culture, holidays, and cosplay, in various ways is always lovely. Kizzal.com is about telling a story in numerous ways to encompass the world as we know it.

Telling a Story

I love to tell a story, and since becoming a freelance writer/editor/proofreader, I’ve learned a lot about talking to fellow fans and how they interpret the material I’ve enjoyed for so long. Much of my work has been influenced by stories that have existed for centuries or a few years since I believe every story is worthy of being remembered. Stories are how we, as humans, relate to one another and help to advance civilization in several ways.

Talking to other fans and getting their perspectives on various genres is exciting and informative. I fully support people who tell a story, even if our opinions might differ on the content. The stories we tell are how we interpret the world around us and a blueprint for the generations yet to come.

Am I a writing expert? I know how to craft a story, help others edit their work, and convey ideas to others using easy-to-understand and discuss methods. If that makes me an expert, then yes, I am that, and sharing that experience with others makes the effort that goes into writing worth it.

The Love of Fantasy

I created this site to encompass the love of escapism and fantasy that goes into making so many different shows, movies, and other stories people enjoy talking about. Sure, we get a little argumentative sometimes, but this denotes passion for our subjects, which speaks highly of our love of the material that has gained our attention for so long. Plenty of shows, fiction, and non-fiction, hold my interest, and I enjoy talking to people about all of them.

This site is all about opinions that facts can back up. It’s also a chance for fans to come together and say what they will, with respect toward their fellow fans, to determine our shared values and what we believe works within the entertainment industry.

Discussion

I honestly want to know what you think about various shows, movies, sports, and other ideas that might come to mind regarding these three subjects. Any opinions viewed on this site are valid and backed by facts since we want to argue respectfully and knowledgeably concerning the subjects we care about.

Collaboration

As I mentioned, I’m a storyteller, editor, and proofreader. I always enjoy collaborating with someone with a story in mind or a project worth considering. Every story deserves the chance to be told, and I believe that help can come from anyone willing to examine what you’ve come up with.

Debate

I would enjoy a good argument if we could be respectful and take each other’s points with a measure of grace and acceptance. Everyone sees the world differently and deals with things using their own experiences. Debate doesn’t mean walking away mad that the other individual didn’t see your point; it’s about sharing what you believe with others and accepting that they know the world through a different set of eyes than your own. I’m ready to debate many subjects concerning entertainment and welcome a distinct viewpoint that might expand my own.
