10 Reasons “Deadpool and Wolverine” was Epic

Many have debated the decline of the superhero movie over the years. But the 10 reasons “Deadpool and Wolverine” was epic might signal an uptick in the genre if the right people pay attention.
It delivered on a promise people have been waiting on for years
Deadpool vs. Wolverine is a fight that many people have wanted to see for a long time. Not only that but seeing these two team up was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
Even if Hugh Jackman is done, it was a fitting finale to the character
There are hints in the movie that Jackman is done for good and hints that he might show up again. Whatever happens, this representation was accurate and great enough to satisfy many fans.
The movie was shown in all its glory without too much censoring
It’s kind of obvious that Disney wasn’t going to allow everything that goes into a Deadpool movie (ie, cocaine use), but apart from that, this movie had just about everything. Thank goodness for that since dialing down Deadpool would have erased much of what makes the movie great.
It does open up discussion for a lot of different ideas
When you take into account the many references and unanswered questions that were left, there are a lot of ideas that could be explored. The faith that people have in Disney’s creative team these days is limited, but with this much material to work with, there’s a good chance that someone might strike gold again.
Maybe Cassandra Nova can return
She does feel a little underdeveloped in terms of her movie appearance. But maybe, just maybe, this comic book villain can return once again to threaten another universe.
The possibilities opened by the Void are far-reaching
Ever since Loki was given a season 2, it’s been established that there is much to explore beyond the normal reaches of the MCU. What else is lurking in the Void?
The arrival of the X-Men into the MCU is still highly anticipated
Regardless of what some people say about the X-Men not being needed or not being necessary, the hints that the X-Men are coming are strong. This movie made it possible to wonder what might happen if such a thing does finally happen.
Maybe Channing Tatum wasn’t the right guy to play Gambit
Yeah, I’d imagine I’ll get a lot of hate for this statement since Channing is a popular actor. But maybe dial down the traditional costume and ease up on the Cajun yat; then it might make a little more sense.
It might be time to install Deadpool in cameo roles
Coming up with another movie sounds like a bad idea since he’s come around to happiness once again. But if there were a show, it would be even worse. Let the guy make a cameo appearance occasionally; that’d be fun.
The multiple Deadpools should remain in this movie and not spread around the multiverse.
Again, the cameo approach is fine and dandy, but trying to make another Deadpool seems like a very bad idea.
