This sounds cruel to say, but the truth is that at a pro level, it is tough to compare the two. Many women are entertaining to watch in sports, but when compared to men, they tend to come up short.

Stating that women cannot compete with men sounds dismissive and sexist, but it’s a truth many do not want to see. But this has been admitted by several female athletes.
Fans prefer sports that are quicker and more hard-hitting
Watching men’s soccer vs. women’s soccer is usually a little more entertaining, and there’s not much debate between the NBA and WNBA when it comes to entertainment. Sports like the NFL and MLB have a larger fan base that prefers action-packed moments.
Female sports are not as entertaining
This is another debatable point, but unfortunately, female sports do not see the same turnout as male sports. While there are many arguments about this matter, the numbers don’t lie.
Activism and media hype have continued to widen the divide between fans
In many ways, it feels as though activism is little more than people jumping up and shouting to get attention than advocating for women’s sports. Unfortunately, this irks many people instead of drawing them toward sporting events.
