15 Great Books That Should Be Movies

It’s interesting to take a look and find 15 great books that should be movies. One has to ask why this hasn’t happened, though.
Swan Song
The eternal battle between good and evil immediately takes hold in this book. But its form is insane in the best of ways since it’s not just inspiring; it’s a revelation that Robert R. McCammon brought to life in a compelling manner.
Homeland
With the love of fantasy already proven, it’s fair to think that the legend of Drizzt should be a movie that people want to see. If Avatar can reach such acclaim for world-building, then Homeland would be a masterpiece.
Elminster
In Forgotten Realms, Elminster is one of the most understated individuals who can level mountains and perform other wonders that others can only dream of. His story might start off a little dry, but it becomes an epic that people might love.
The Demon Wars
R.A. Salvatore has not produced a story like the Demon Wars in quite some time, but bringing this to life on film would be great. The series would be a visual delight for many people.
The Demon Cycle
Peter V. Brett is an artist with words, without any doubt. The level of description and the magical effects he describes would likely be a welcome challenge to many VFX artists.
Sleeping Beauties
While it would probably spark a lot of debate, this Stephen King story would still be one that might draw many fans in. The idea of women falling into a deep sleep and men letting the world burn is something that people might find intriguing.
The Shannara Series
While an attempt was made to bring the Shannara series to TV, it wasn’t as well-received as it should have been. Bringing it to the big screen would be far more effective.
Star Wars: Thrawn Series
Some people were pleased by Thrawn’s appearance in the Ahsoka series, while others were less than amused. But Lucasfilm should show Thrawn as a younger man and how he rose to his position.
Fairy Tale
Another Stephen King story, this particular fantasy story is definitely off the rails. But it’s still an exciting story that only King could tell.
Star Wars: Inferno Squad
If it were done correctly, the interest of spreading out and finding other stories in the Star Wars universe would be a great thing to see. Inferno Squad is gritty, dark, and definitely worth pursuing.
American Gods
There was a show that lasted two seasons, and it wasn’t bad. But bringing it to the big screen would be a good idea to give this idea a bigger platform.
Billy Summers
This is one of King’s simpler stories since it doesn’t involve much fantasy or crazy happenstance. But it is a powerful story about an assassin who desires to be someone else.
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon
This might actually stand out as one of King’s better stories since it’s not as crazy as it can get, but it does get out there a time or two. Bringing it to the big screen or even to a streaming service could accomplish even greater fame.
Dragon Tears
Dean Koontz is a master storyteller, but this book is just…wow. As one of his older titles, it stands out for the content and the overall idea.
The Bad Place
This story is dark, depressing, and perfect for cinema. The crazy way it unfolds will draw people in and make them wonder what Koontz was thinking.
