15 of The Greatest Songs Found in Movie Soundtracks

Picking 15 of the greatest songs found in movie soundtracks is interesting since it shows the musical interest of many people. But here are a few that I happen to think are great.
Shipping Up to Boston-The Departed
The heavy intro to this song is excellent since it gets a person’s attention and makes them aware that something is about to happen. It was used during a brief montage in this movie, but it set the tone.
Eye of the Tiger-Rocky III
Created for this movie, Eye of the Tiger is still a popular song that inspires people today. It’s even been featured in other popular media.
Danger Zone-Top Gun
Kenny Loggins created a few great songs found in movies over the years, and this one in particular was great for the movie. It definitely had the right feel for the time, but it’s not quite as helpful today save for the nostalgic feel it gives.
Cry Little Sister-The Lost Boys
Marilyn Manson recreated this song and pushed the beats a lot harder, but the original is still fun since it was used a couple of times in the movie. As many people remember, The Lost Boys was the movie to watch at that time.
Yaller Girls-The Lighthouse
There were a few old-time songs used in this movie, and they all contributed to the odd feeling it gave people. The isolation of the movie does make sense when it comes to the overall madness that was displayed.
Immigrant Song-Thor: Ragnarok
When Thor finally embraced his power, this song hit, and things started to pick up. It was noted that Jack Black decided to say something about using this song when the movie came out, but most people didn’t bother feeding into the non-argument.
Shoot to Thrill-Iron Man 2
Everything in the Iron Man movies is done to create Tony Stark’s character. His daredevil attitude justified this type of song since he was about flash and style.
Jump Around-Happy Gilmore
It was odd to hear this song playing in Happy Gilmore since Adam Sandler often appears to favor the 60s and 70s songs. But it was a fine addition to a fun soundtrack.
She Began to Lie-The General’s Daughter
You would definitely need to search the Internet for this and a few other songs used on this soundtrack. You might even have to search for the movie, but it was intriguing.
Day-O-Beetlejuice
It was an odd song to hear in this movie, but it was fully appreciated because of how it was used. The scene around the table when the shrimp cocktails came to life was classic.
Big Empty-The Crow
There were plenty of great songs in the Brandon Lee movie, many of which used a great deal of emotion or invoked it. But The Stone Temple Pilots song felt a little muted but altogether useful.
Heathens-Suicide Squad
There was so much hype around the first Suicide Squad movie that it’s fair to think that people would be hard-pressed to remember the music. That said, though, there were a few great songs.
New Jack Hustler-New Jack City
Remember when Ice-T was famous for something other than his role in Law & Order: SVU and other shows? This was when gangster rap was still the bane of many parents’ existence.
Simply Irresistible-American Psycho
There was a definite retro vibe with this movie. But more terrifying than anything is that Patrick Bateman would listen to this music while killing or thinking about killing people.
O.P.P.-Jarhead
Ask yourself this question: did we need to see Jake Gyllenhaal’s junk covered by a tiny Santa hat? Apparently, the director thought we did.
