10 Marvel Characters Who Can Beat Superman
There are at least 10 Marvel characters who can beat Superman. No matter what diehard fans of DC say, the only way the man of steel can succeed is to be retconned again.
Doctor Strange
It’s easy to argue that Superman could blitz anyone on this list, thanks to his massive speed advantage. But since Doctor Strange can view people from afar, Supes still wouldn’t have time to react before Strange banished him to a universe he didn’t recognize.
Thor
This is a big argument since both heroes are powerhouses in their respective universes. However, one advantage Thor has is that he deals with magic, and whether DC fans like it or not, Superman is weak against such a force.
Sentry
Universes wouldn’t just tremble in a fight between these two; they’d probably crumble. But if the Void took over, Superman might find himself against enough unchecked aggression that he might be unable to withstand.
World War Hulk
This isn’t just base Hulk, who gave Superman a run for his money. This is the Hulk, who’s madder than he’s ever been before. Superman would have a tough time with this guy.
Doctor Doom
Magic, intellect, and the resources of an entire country are at Doom’s disposal. Superman might be able to wipe Latveria off the map, but if Doom felt the need, he could easily take control of Supes and do some real damage.
Jean Grey
Is Superman faster than the speed of thought? That’s not much of a debate since, as a good guy, he’d take the time to reason whether or not he should fight Jean. Of course, when tapping into the Phoenix force, Jean would shut Superman down in a heartbeat or less.
Galactus
Galactus’ form is more of a concept than anything. His power can turn Superman into a herald, which means that if he wants to cut loose, Superman stands no chance.
Professor X
It sounds like Superman’s mind is one of his weak points, so Professor X could shut him down without having to be in the same state. With Cerebro, it’s very possible that Charles could take Superman out from the other side of the world if need be.
Magneto
So many of Magneto’s abilities are downplayed that it’s funny to think that anyone might believe he’d be no threat to Superman. Imagine if Magneto decided to drop all morals and go after the man of steel. Clark wouldn’t last long.
Scarlet Witch
Just think of this: “No more Kryptonians.” Sure, it would cancel out several other characters, but since her chaos magic nearly wiped out mutants worldwide, Wanda could easily negate Superman’s very existence.
