10 Ways the Alien Franchise Can Get Better
There are at least 10 ways the Alien Franchise can improve, and they don’t involve a continual connection to the original movie. Seriously, it’s time to branch out.
Realize there’s an entire galaxy out there to explore
There’s a good indication that a larger galaxy exists in this franchise. But fans haven’t seen much of it apart from a few worlds.
The Engineers should have a more prominent role
After all, one of them was shown in the first movie, and they were shown in another movie. But it feels like it’s time for them to take their place in the franchise in a more significant way.
Injecting the Predators into the story is still a bright idea
The fact that the predators hunt the xenomorphs is interesting. But it’s also fun to see that they are flirting with danger so often by keeping xenomorph queens in specific locations.
Push forward instead of looking backward
The prequels are not a horrible idea, but it feels as though it’s past time to push forward and see where the franchise can go. Countless worlds could be infested with xenomorphs.
The possibility of losing earth is an idea that’s already been written
The Aliens franchise has shown that these creatures can very easily overrun the earth. Another reason why humans are taking to living in space is that it’s a compelling story.
There are plenty of books on this story that have advanced the plot
In other words, there is plenty of source material to pull from. The effort of taking on these stories would help to push this franchise to another level.
Another AVP movie, including Marines could help
This has been teased in video games, and it would be great to see in a movie. While humans are outmatched, it would still be a fun idea.
The constant evolution of the xenomorphs is worth exploring
They’ve evolved since the prequels, and it’s evident that they take on the characteristics of their host. So, why not keep that idea moving forward?
Erase the idea of cloning
Cloning has been done and overdone for years. It’s an effortless way to create and maintain a storyline but grows stale quickly.
Create a caste system with the xenomorphs
There are already castes within the ranks of the aliens, but deepening those castes might be a good idea. Create hive aliens, soldier aliens, and so on.
